School health program is non-existent in Pakistan. This Resource Book for School Teachers has emanated from the Islamabad School Health Project (ISHP) 1997-1999. This book may become a starting point for motivating health planners and school teachers for development of a school health program for the country.

This book utilizes the format of our other books for non-doctors community, including Course Book for LPM (Urdu) and Prevention of Heart Disease (Urdu), for developing public health education literature-linkage for the school teachers.

It has Chapters on School Health Organization, School Environment, Hygiene, Introduction to Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology, Food and Nutrition, Infections and Diseases, Diagnosis, Prevention, Treatment, Emergencies in School, Exercise and a Glossary.

This multi-media bilingual (English/Urdu) publication will be available in print, CD and video formats. This publication may also be translated in Urdu and local languages.
